But how is it that is works so badly that I can't even flatten a trade when the number of contracts put on exceed the limit set in Symbol Settings? Provide us the rejection message from the Trade >> Trade Service Log. We think we know why there would be a problem with this functionality in Trade Simulation Mode but it simply was never properly supported and never has been and that has been documented for years. We will resolve the issue. The Global Position Limit will not work with simulated trading. Unless you are using this service: Simulated Futures Trading Service And in this case, the way that the limit is set would be through the Trade Account Settings remotely on the server. And there would not be any problem with this functionality for live trading. Live trading is implemented completely different than the internal Trade Simulation Mode when it comes to tracking positions. The other thing is that if there was a problem flattening a Simulated Position due to this setting you could then have set it to 0 to resolve this.
