The reason for what you are seeing is that the GBPAUD data is all stored in one file. Therefore, when you want data from some time in the past, the program has to open the file and search back to find that data and then get the data. Whereas when you just want the most recent data, the program can start at the end and just start loading the data going backwards until it gets to the stopping point. Faster drives can help. If you do not already have NVME drives, then consider them. Refer to the following: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.29 - Solid State Drives / SSD For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
