This is because people want these bars to be manipulated and not represent the actual true prices. For what reason, we do not know. The closing price you see for a bar is not necessarily accurate. Please refer to the documentation here for a complete description: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#RangeBarStandard And you also want to make sure you have a tick by tick data configuration: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TickbyTickDataConfiguration.php We cannot offer further help. You may want to use Range Per Bar-True to get a true representation. Range bars are one of the most manipulated bar types. Why users want them manipulated, makes no sense. Generally the reason is they see how this is done with other programs and then it gets established and they think it has to be this way otherwise the bars are wrong. This is why we created Range Per Bar-True. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
