The Date Range in File just gives you the information of what data is in that symbol's data file. It does not directly control the date range of data that is shown in the chart (unless you are trying to get data prior to the From: date). We assume that you are trying to reduce the number of days displayed in your chart. To do this, you need to use either the Number of Days to Load or Use Date Range. Refer to the information starting here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChartSettings.html#DateRangeInFile If you are trying to change the actual amount of data stored in the file, then we would first want to ask why, as there really is not a need for this, and if you are short on disk space then there are other things to do first. In general, for this topic, refer to the following: Chart Data and Chart Data Files: Cleaning Up Old and Unused Symbols for Efficiency For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
