We have verified that this is definitely not correct: when i am running multiple instances, instance #2, #3 actually inherited the 'recent file list' from the main instance
And we have never had a reported instance of this problem. This list is cleared, on a new sub instance being created. It is more likely, that you manually copied over the main configuration file from the main instance to a sub instance. is there anything wrong with using instance #2 but opening a bbb.cht from the main folder (the main instance of sc is using aaa.cht only, never bbb.cht)?
Yes definitely do not do this. It will lead to conflicts.
