However, if you have a Trade Position which spans a long time, then it may be necessary to set this to a date earlier than the earliest date loaded in the chart.
I decided to try this, even though my trades do not span much time in this chartbook. A trade was taken this morning and no Trade Position Average Price was registered. When I set the date to Jan 1 the TPAP immediately updated correctly. It just finished the trade and sold for a profit using the TPAP as part of the close trade criteria. It seems that this has solved the problem although I'm not sure why yet at this point. I can see where a longer timeframe trade or multiple trade positions would make this more important, but I was not in any other positions and the trade size was 1. Anyway, from now one, if I use TPAP I will also set this date back at least a month and see if that works better. Thanks. |
