By default, the symbol for the chart is the name that is used for the chart tab along with the time period. It sounds like you have entered the symbol into the Title Bar Name and enabled the option for Use Title Bar Name as Tab Label. If you remove the Title Bar Name and deselect the option for Use Title Bar Name as Tab Label, then you would see the symbol and time period as the tab label.
