Thanks for the explaination. I've tried the solutions mentioned without success this time. I think IB also simply routes their data feed from the exchange for the TICK-NYSE realtime feed. I have found in the past that the source is often the problem, not the routing system. Since about Oct I've had occasional problems that are suspicious of something else going on. The data doesn't usually freeze, like it is now, but it won't give me any negative tick prints (any negative prints will print as 0 in Sierrachart), or the range of tick prints seems to be compressed (it's hard to know, without having a comparable feed, if this is actually happening or if the software is acting suspiciously. Either way I cannot trade without confidence in the realtime data. I don't usually upgrade to new SierraChart versions until several weeks after release. It's cost me dearly in the past when I did. I did upgrade yesterday to try to resolve the problem, but that hasn't helped. I noticed yesterday that the TWS tick data was off and on. It didn't make any difference to the data coming through SierraChart - it was off in realtime, persistently, however it could be updated with a data refresh command. That's not realtime. I hope this detail helps. I'm not very tech savvy, but I muddle through. I'm getting very frustrated with this recurring, intermittent problem that is easy to deny by tech support as they don't seem to see the problem. It's a problem that has cost me money though. Thanks for any help you can provide. |
