The Sierra Chart installer does not delete files. It does not even have any capability to do that. If you actually have missing files, it was not Sierra Chart which deleted them. Either you are just simply not seeing them for some reason on your system or there is some other explanation. You can install Sierra Chart wherever you want. That is up to you. Every installation of Sierra Chart has a Backups folder which contains backup of Chartbooks and other files.
