I am using ChartVPS for my VPS. It has 4 vCPU and 4GB ram. I have 27 chartbooks open with 3 charts each and this runs great. I am not using tick data, nor do I use any indicators on my charts. If you are using more processor intensive charts and analysis, you may need more power. I'd say start lower and bump up if you need to. There is no need to pay for idle resources if you aren't going to use them.
