You cannot make the image graphics larger. This is why you need to choose text (Use Caption option) instead for the buttons that have graphics. Refer to the documentation here for this: Control Bar: Control Bar Button Properties And for anyone else reading this, this is the reason why the default for all the buttons was being made a couple of months ago as text precisely to avoid this problem and if someone still wants to choose the smaller images they can still do that.
