For what you are trying to do, you really need to set the Input in the Study/Price Overlay for Match Source Bars to Destination Bars to No. If you do this, you will see the result you are expecting. Really, what you were seeing in the Renko chart was the odd behavior. Since it is not a time-specific chart, the last bar in the Renko was picking up the beginning of that most recent evening session from the Study/Price Overlay.
