Upon reloading noticed those custom control bar items not populating all instances/chartbooks
This is not clear what you mean exactly. Sierra chart can run more than one instance. Now I have a root C:Sierra folder and additional instance folders with random chart study updates. Why would chart studies start a new save tree per instance as opposed to the root folder. That just causes fragmented chart study saving and it appears control bar saves also. Your second quoted concern was already addressed. The remaining question is, regarding new instance chart study/control bar/etc saved changes are trapped in that new instance file tree as opposed to saving to the main root file folder.
