First, as you note, you need to make sure you are selecting the proper Spreadsheet when adding the study to the chart. To do this, follow the instructions here, specifically step 5: Using the Spreadsheet Study: Step By Step Instructions to use the Spreadsheet Study If you are using the same Spreadsheet Study for different charts, then by default, it will open a new Sheet within the spreadsheet for the new chart. The other charts information is still there, but it is in a different Sheet.
