I'm attempting to do the same. The link below contains my experiences so far. Biggest issue for me so far is CPU usage. An SC Linux version would be great but I'm thinking it is low of priority unfortunately. At the bottom of the discussion you will see my latest update. VirtualBox, VMWare or some other full OS virtualization would be the next step.... but then you are basically back to a Windows machine with all the update, break, fix headaches.
