I will ask the user to upgrade and see if I can authorize then. It's currently failing though I don't know what version he is using.

Not at this time.Will the authorization system break for all existing authorized users when they upgrade SC?
No, it would not. Could be neat if the system would accept the user ID and just wait for it to hit the server, and then push the downloads. Anyway probably a gross oversimplification but I think in the long run this is a good step.
