I played around with it again this morning (after a good nights sleep!), and discovered that I CAN actually select any tool I want by ALT left-clicking as long as I have the the pointer or hand tool selected. The thing is, up to this point, I have hardly ever had a need to use the pointer or hand tools. Usually I keep one of the other tools selected--like the Price Expansion or Horizontal Line Non-Extended tool--and when I need to move a drawing (or whatever other action I need to do), I simply right-click on the drawing to select it and then choose the appropriate action from the pop-up menu (move, erase, cut, extend, hide or adjust). Would it be possible to add the option to simply right-click as many times as necessary on a drawing-congested area to toggle and select the drawing desired? Once selected, you can then choose from the pop-up menu the action desired. I realize that when you select a drawing by right-clicking on it, the pop-up menu immediately appears, so using the ALT key may still be necessary until the right drawing is selected. Anyway, just a thought for some future time when you have a free moment (Yeah, right!) For now, I do understand what I need to do to get things done. Again, thank you so much for your help and consideration! Dan |
