OK we have an answer about this from BitMEX: "Account has insufficient Available Balance, 3424621 XBt required" When the Stop order was triggered it failed the risk checks and was rejected There is an option on our frontend called Close-on-Trigger with the description: If checked, this will be a Close order. Close orders can only reduce your position, not increase it. If the account has insufficient Available Balance when the Close order is triggered, then other {symbol} orders will be canceled or amended down.
