We have added a currency parameter for all the symbols given in post #13 as well as all of the IDEALPRO symbols for Interactive Brokers. When we went to test the conversion to a common currency it immediately worked properly using EUR.JPY-CASH-IDEALPRO. We are going to review the documentation and make sure it is up-to-date and also add some additional logging so we can get a better understanding of the problem. However, the first thing to check is to locate the symbol in Global Settings >> Symbol Settings. Go to the Additional tab and is a Currency set for it?
