For more than a year now we have noticed that the Gain Capital system can handle two digit years for symbols so we thought for a while now it is a good idea to transition to two digit years. These are always much preferred in future symbols. However, unexpectedly the following problems occurred for users: -Did not receive real-time updates. Only some users experienced this. We do not know why. This is very puzzling because we see no problems at all with this. -Positions and orders from the Gain Capital system still use single-digit years. This is resolvable by us. - For users who have a large amount of existing chart data, it may take time to download new chart data and this could be burdensome in the case of tick data for less powerful computer systems. Based upon all of the above, we decided to revert back to single-digit years for Gain Capital. This is unfortunate, but we have to do what is best. We have no intention of going back to 2 digit years any longer. We apologize for this. We were only trying to make improvements. Version 1468 supports single-digit years.
