This is what we received from Gain Capital: Thank you for your email. We are aware of the issue and have rolled out a fix to SIM. If client needs market data and does not need to trade, we can have the user connect to SIM until a fix to PROD is released. If the customer needs to trade, but cannot connect to PROD with Sierra and the server does not respond to the user, they can connect in OEC Trader.
Unfortunately, the user cannot connect to PROD unless we restart the FIX Order Server. This would drop all other FIX users who may not be having a problem at all. We would prefer not to affect all other users for one person. So if you require a simulation account with Gain Capital, contact them and explain the problem you are having.
