The log in to Sierra Chart goes through the Sierra Chart Web server. It is the IP address for www.SierraChart.com. If you just give them this domain name, then they can determine the IP.

The next question is what Data or Trading service will you be using Sierra Chart with, and that will have different IP addresses and port numbers.

Hi,

According to my network engineer, the firewall we use can only accept IP Address.
Currently we checked that www.sierracharts.com destination IP is 188.40.121.148, but his concern is whether any load balancer or Dynamic DNS has been configured (this means we'll need to know the entire range of IP to be added).

Also he has added this destination ds5.sierracharts.com (204.15.192.106), I am not sure what this is but I am thinking it is the Data/Trading services you mentioned. Because the first time we tried logging in, it works but the second time it prompts an error message on failure to connect to Data Trading service. So for the Data/Trading services, please also let us know the range of IP addresses as well.

The Data/Trading services used in our case is SC Forex Data (FXCM)

Thanks

The IP address for SierraChart.com does not change.

You will also want to allow the IP addresses for:
ds3.sierracharts.com
ds4.sierracharts.com

We would like to let you know, the source of the problem you had going through your proxy server when logging into Sierra Chart, finally has been discovered. There was a misunderstanding with the specification of the final destination port number in some older code. When we did a review during this support request, we did not catch on to this at the time. However, now it is resolved.

For the latest version, please update with Help >>Download Prerelease. If you need usage time added to your account, please let us know.
