The first thing is do you see the alert messages show in the specific Chat you have set them to go to in the Chat Window in Sierra Chart?

In this case go through the instructions given here:
Chat and Communications Platform: Integration with Mobile Ntfy Application

Start with step 2:

Carefully go through them again and make sure all the settings are correct.

Hi, I'm having the same issue, went through the instructions a couple of times but no notification on the ntfy app is coming. The alert messages appear fine on the chat window. Any chance it needs whitelisting any custom ports on the computer firewall or something? Used to work fine with the telegram alerts before the service was seized.

There are two steps to setting up the nfty app. The first is setting up the connection to the Chat service, which is what steps 1 through 21 are for. If that is setup properly then you will see the alerts in the app.

The rest of the instructions are for setting up actual notifications from the nfty app on your phone.

Make sure you have the alerts in the app from the first part. If you do not, then you need to redo that and make sure everything is setup properly for that portion before moving forward.

The instructions are here:

Does your computer have blocked ports and/or IP addresses?

Thanks for the prompt response John. Probably yes, it is using an enterprise grade AV/firewall which is why i asked about ports in the first place. Are there any particular ones that need to be allowed for the remote alerts to the ntfy app?

But again it was working fine with the telegram app, so not sure if the ports have been changed for the ntfy app or what…

Hi John, I basically removed the firewall from the PC today to test if it is related to ports blocking but the remote alerts are still not working... Any more ideas please?

It should be the standard 443 port.

Ok, so it shouldn't be a port thing then. What else can I try please?

Is your Sierra Chart running on a standard Windows platform or are you on a MAC or Linux and using an emulator of some kind? There are issues with the Chat notifications going on when using emulators.

We want you to follow the instructions here to use the web-based ntfy app:
Chat and Communications Platform: Using Ntfy Web Application

And see if you can receive the alert messages there.

Thank you. The web browser worked and then trying again on my iphone that worked too. The problem I'm seeing now though is that the notifications on the iphone are not coming through unless you manually do a refresh of the subscribed topic, which I've seen some other users have mentioned too. How do we overcome this please??

There was a change that we made, to the Ntfy app server to solve this by using a Google service in the background that sends notifications to the iPhone.

Should not be anything more that we would need to do from our side.

Follow the instructions here and see if this solves the problem:
