Saving Order Allocation Settings Across Strategies

Hello Sierra Chart Team,

I use multiple accounts that copy each other and rely on the allocation tool to duplicate trades. However, I've noticed that when I switch trading strategies(configurations) from the dropdown menu in the Trade Window, the configuration resets to the saved settings for that strategy.

Since I use multiple strategies, manually updating each one is time-consuming. Is there a way to save the order allocation settings across all strategies in the Trade Window?

Thanks!

Refer to the following:
Order Allocation to Trade Accounts: Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Include in Save Trade Window Configuration
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Thank you for your response. I have the "Save Configuration" option enabled in the order allocation settings. While the settings are saved after restarting the software, they reset when I switch configurations and switch back.

The only way to permanently save the order configuration along with the order allocation is by selecting "Save Configuration" and overwriting the existing configuration.

Additionally, I noticed that when the "Save Configuration" setting is enabled and I follow your suggested steps, the configuration file's timestamp doesn't update. This makes me think the changes might be getting lost.

Edit: I have two Sierrachart installations. On my other installation when I click on the "save trade in account configuration" I see a checkmark next to it. However on the one I am having issues with when I click on it, I am not able to see the checkmark.

After setting this to Yes:
Order Allocation To Trade Accounts Include In Save Trade Window Configuration:Yes

You then need to resave the Configuration:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Using and Changing Between Different Trade Window and Attached Orders Configurations

We are looking into the Save Trade Account in Configuration issue. It needs to have a check mark by it when it is enabled. But we see it does not.

I set Order Allocation To Trade Accounts Include In Save Trade Window Configuration:Yes. Then I save the trade window. It does not work. while on my other installation it works perfectly fine. I think it must be a bug and am considering to reinstall.

I fixed the issue, though I’m not entirely sure what caused it. If anyone encounters this problem in the future, it can be resolved by copying the main folder from a working Sierra Chart installation. I reinstalled the main folder from the unaffected installation, but strangely, the previously working installation also stopped functioning after I enabled the setting and saved the configuration.

To fix it, I restored a backup, which brought it back to normal. Then, I copied the Accounts4 and Sierra4 config files from the problematic installation to the working one to check if either of those files was causing the issue. There were no issues. I then copied the main directory of the working installation to the problematic one and it started working there too.

I suspect when I initially copied the root folder to the new installation (problematic one), it maybe had a conflict in its path in the other files excluding accounts4 and Sierra4.

This will be resolved in the next release:
We are looking into the Save Trade Account in Configuration issue. It needs to have a check mark by it when it is enabled. But we see it does not.

There is also another significant issue related to saving the trade account in the configuration preventing the Chartbook from being read when it is opened. This has now been fixed.

We did extensive testing and saw no issue:
I set Order Allocation To Trade Accounts Include In Save Trade Window Configuration:Yes. Then I save the trade window. It does not work. while on my other installation it works perfectly fine. I think it must be a bug and am considering to reinstall.

Does not make sense that post #6 would be resolving the issue but as long as you are no longer having it, that is good.
