Global Stop Loss and orders on replay

Hi Folks, a while ago you sent me a link as to how to set up the Global Stop loss or Take profit which is great BUT it can be manipulated. If you reach your Stop Loss limit that was created, you can go to the same area to change it.. Is there a more permanent solution to lock you out for the entire day? On Chart Replay back dated, orders will pop up out of nowhere. I am assuming old data.. I click the Clear Trade Sim Data, and it still happens. Any solution? Thank you!!! |

For anything more than what we have in our Global Profit/Loss Management, you would need to check with your broker. With regards to replay and orders, it sounds like you have an automated system running, and when you run the replay the system is generating orders. If this is not what you want, then you will either need to modify your system or remove it to handle the replay situation. How do you place orders on your charts? Are you using a study like the Spreadsheet System for Trading, or the Trading System Based on Alert Condition? Or are you placing orders only manually (by selecting Buy/Sell with the pointer or keyboard)?

Since you are not using any automated trading, then if you have cleared the trading data prior to starting the replay, then you should not be seeing any orders showing during the replay. Also, if you have not cleared the trading data prior to starting the replay then the position will show up as you are running the replay. Let us know if the above does not resolve this for you.
