Are you certain you have the "Volume by Price Reset Button" set properly to reset the Volume Profile on the DOM? Is the DOM in a detached window and the Control Bar on your main window? In this case, you would need to have the Control Bar attached to the DOM, by selecting "Window >> Control Bar >> Control Bar n" on the Trading DOM window itself to add the control bar to that window. Then the reset button will apply to that specific window and the associated Volume by Price study. It clears VBP now by removing the VBP study all together, but need to keep VBP on??
How can I clear current VBP, but keep the study on for the new filtered volume, the way the Total Current Volume clear hotkey works?? It does clear the VbP and then the profile will start building up again from that point. So it does the same thing as the Clear Total Current Volume. If you are looking for something else, then we are not sure what exactly you are wanting. We would need more information. And also if I place more than one VBP i the same study (let's say Total Volume and Trades) then one overlaps the other??
How can I make them being next to each other columns like trade columns do??? Refer to the following Input: Volume By Price Study: Allow Side-By-Side Profiles on Right Side For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

None of the Trading DOMs in the chartbook have the "Volume by Price Reset Button" study included. We need to get the Chartbook with this button setup in it so we can see how you are doing this. We are not seeing what you are stating. The "Volume by Price Reset Button" is not set to reset any particular Volume profile. The Input for "Volume by Price Study Reference" is set to <Main Price Graph> which does not do anything. Additionally, the Custom Study button is set to number "1". So "Custom Study Control Bar Button 2" will not do anything relative to the VbP Reset study. And when we do set the VbP Reset to reset a specific profile, it works as expected using CS1 for the button. One of the things we want to point out is that you have 2 "Volume by Price Reset Button" studies on the chart and both are set to use "ACS Control Bar Button # for Reset" to "2". This is OK if you want to reset both Volume by Price studies at the same time. If you only want one to reset, then you need to change one of the studies to use a different ACS Control Bar button number. Otherwise, we do not see any issues. The one thing we want to point out is that when you select the "Reset" button, it is going to set the "Volume by Price" study to have a "Volume Graph Period Type" of "From Start Date-Time to End" and the Start Date-Time is set to the date and time when you select the button. But this also means that the way the Volume Profile is going to be calculated is going to depend on the way the underlying data is setup for that Trading DOM. In particular, this Trading DOM is set to have a bar period of 5 minutes. As such, if you reset a profile, and then reset it again before a 5 minute interval has completed, then there will be no difference in the profile. This is because it is always starting at the beginning of the 5 minute bar in which the current time falls. Let's say you reset the Volume by Price Profile at 13:03:23.00. The profile will recalculate starting from the bar that opened at 13:00:00.00. If you want more granularity on your reset, then you need to change the Bar Period for the Trading DOM.
