Daily TMF[M] chart from Friday the 24th as viewed on Sunday. Although a cross from below trigger posts in the Alert Manager window, the alert's point on high is not displayed for the last daily bar after TMF close. Is the marker present prior to the close? And then disappears after the close? Or is it something else?

Is the marker present prior to the close? No. An alert was generated but not displayed between the hours of 17:00 and 18:00 EST while the market was closed. The alert mgr was cleared and then when reconnected at 20:22 EST an alert was generated and displayed. |

Take a closer look at the alert that was generated. If it occurred when the market was closed, then we wonder if you had a full chart recalculation during that time and the alert is actually for a previous bar and not the current one. Apart from a full recalculation, there is no reason for an alert to occur while the market is closed. There is no activity to generate an alert during that time. "If it occurred when the market was closed" No alerts occurred when the market was closed. Is there a way to get an alert displayed on the chart after close, but before next bar start, in all cases? After 18:00, 2 of 4 charts displayed alert markers on the chart and 2 did not. The two that did also initiated the next bar. In no case did the alert's point on high display for the last daily bar after close but before next bar start. |

We believe you have the "Enabled" option enabled on the Alert tab for the "Trading System Based on Alert Condition". In this case, the Alert itself will go off, even though the trading system is not set to make a trade at that time, as you have the Input for "Evaluate on Bar Close Only" set to "Yes". This is also why you are not seeing the marker when the Alert is logged in the Alert Manager. These are two different things - the alert itself and the trading system. The Trading System will use the alert formula that is setup for it, but the notifications for the alert (from the Alert Tab) are separate. If you want to make them match up, then you would need to enable the option for "Evaluate On Bar Close" on the Alert Tab as well.
