Margin Requirement Incorrect Value

Hi,
I've been with Teton/AMP for the past 8 month and I've always noticed that the margin requirement when the new session opens (18:00 EST) doesn't get updated until I place an order.
For example, before market close, the full exchange margin is applied, that is done correctly, but then when the market reopens at 18:00 the margin requirement stays on the full maintenance margin (which is incorrect) and doesn't get updated until I place a dummy order or move an existing order (no need to even have the order executed) then the margin requirement gets updated to the correct value.
I'm referring to the margin requirement from the "account balance" window.

Is that a bug or something wrong in the account?

This is probably normal. We cannot tell because we do not know how AMP has configured the margin calculation times. In any case it does not cause any issue, and it is not something we can help with.

Hi, I know this is of low impact but kind of sends a bad image and quite frankly annoying seeing incorrect account information.
What can I do to help get this issue fixed? I can contact the broker and ask about the time of day they update the margin requirements and provide that info back? Or if there is a way I can get that data updated manually (without having to submit real exchange orders), maybe adding that option to a control bar and I would be able to refresh the values manually, that would also be acceptable.
Thank you.

Any ideas on how to proceed with this? Please.
If I have to check with AMP, can you advise me what they have to check on their side?

Thanks.

This is not within our control. And we are not going to do anything to interfere with how AMP configures their environment or tell them what to do.

And we fundamentally disagree that this is creating a bad image. And this alleged "bad image" is not with Sierra Chart it anyway.

We are not going to say anything more about this. We will not be responding further about this.

There may be a solution, but it is involved. We are not going to be implementing that anytime soon.

No need to respond further, that response was confusing enough already :)
On one hand you said "interfere with how AMP configures their environment" which made me think that the issue is on AMP's side, and on the other hand you said "There may be a solution, but it is involved. We are not going to be implementing that anytime soon.".

Not only will the issue remain unsolved, I don't even know who's responsible for updating the margin requirements correctly, the broker or the order routing provider.

Given that I don't know who's responsible for the account parameters update (including margin requirements), I don't know who's the "alleged bad image" will be on, but I'll try to check with others who are using CQG if they have the same issue.

Anyway, if at anytime during the lifecycle of the product you came across a way to even manually update/correct the margin requirements (without having to submit live orders to the exchange), please let me know.

Thank you.

The broker fully controls margins. Not Sierra Chart.

You can modify an order to cause the margin to recalculate.
