Selecting Brokerage in the second instance of SC

Hi,

I am currently connected to my Interactive Brokers account in my primary Sierra Chart instance. I am trying to connect my second brokerage account (Optimus Futures) to a second instance.

I have followed all the steps outlined in the Sierra Chart guide, and the second instance is successfully running. However, when I navigate to File > Data/Trade Service Settings, the option to change the trading service is greyed out. It is currently set to the default option, which is “DTC – Sub Instance”.

Could you please advise if I am missing a step or if there’s a specific thing I need to modify?

you are trying to connect a Sub-Instance to a different trading service. You can not do this, as sub-instances are specifically tied to the main instance from which they were started and use the same trading service as setup in that main instance.

You need to install a completely separate installation of Sierra Chart in order to have one connected to Interactive Brokers and the other one connected to Optimus Futures. Refer to the following for how to install a second Sierra Chart:
