Hi, Trading today I noticed a glitch in Sierra chart where my stop loss was above the fair value gap, so in profit but the system froze for a few seconds and decided to teleport past my stop. Please review video, I would love an answer. |

We do not see any Stop order on the chart, so we are not understanding. In terms of the system stopping, there are any number of reasons why this could occur, particularly Internet connectivity. But if you did have a stop order that was not specifically a Client Side order, then that Stop should have been on the exchange and it would not matter if you had a connectivity issue at your local system. But you would need to check with your broker to ensure your Stop is server side. It's a replay video and the stop losses aren't shown in replay mode correct? No connectivity issues on my end, but I just want to make sure there is nothing else I can check in Sierra chart to confirm that what im saying is actually factual. Stop loss was at price 20033.

All orders are shown in Replay. So we are not sure what this is about. But we also not sure what exactly is the issue you are having. If you want to view what was occurring then you should run the replay and pause it when it gets close to where you want to watch it closely and then step forward trade-by-trade to see exactly what occurred. Since this was a replay, it sounds like there was a pause in the trading and and then a number of trades all at the same time causing the jump that you are seeing. Again, you can best determine this by looking at the trade-by-trade information. You can also view this by setting your chart to a "1 trade" chart and reviewing the times for the trades around that time.
