Please see attached chart and focus on the latest bar in each study. I am using three instances of the Relative Volume study. It is a 5 minute chart and the screenshot was taken about 1 minute into the new bar. When a new 5 minute periods starts, the new (right hand) Relative Volume bar starts as very small, as in this image, which makes sense to me as the full 5 minutes have not passed yet, so volume will be smaller. However, the latest bars from the lower two studies for the new 5 minute period start out large. And as best I can tell, they do not change size over the period. It is like they are showing the lagged previous bar at the start of the next bar? I am not very fussed either way, but I would like to get all latest bars showing the same cumulative relative metric for the 5 minute period, if that makes sense. |

The "# of Trades" seems a bit odd, but we do not have enough information to know for sure. In particular, we would need to see how you have the study setup for that particular item. As to the True Range, the bar could be longer than other bars at that time. It just depends on the trading at that moment. Thanks for considering this observation. I have attached another chart that was a few seconds after the new 5 minute bar commenced. You still see that "Relative True Range" study shows a normal sized bar, despite the young age of the bar. I have also attached an image of the settings for "# Trades" |

Something is not right, but we do not know what it is. Please get us that chart by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart If the time zone for the chart is set to use "Global Time Zone" then we need to know what your Global Time Zone is set to. Uploaded. Global TZ is Brussels. Note that Chart Region 1 [relative Volume] is displayed as main price graph. There is no visible price chart. Thank you. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-07-30 05:57:24

The problem is the fact that you have the Relative Volume set as the Main Price Graph. As such, the Number of Trades is not correct, as it is not the number of trades from the underlying data, it is a single trade for each volume. You can see this if you display the Number of Trades study. If you really want to get rid of the symbol data and have another item replace it, then you have to make sure that other studies that reference the Main Price Graph are set to find their data from somewhere else. The easiest way to do this would be to keep the Main Price Graph, but if you really want to get rid of it, then you will want to add a "Add Additional Symbol" study for that same symbol, then hide that study and then base the other studies on it. A problem with the "Add Additional Symbol" is that it does not have data for a Continuous Contract, in which case you may want to setup a separate chart and use the "Study/Price Overlay" and then base the studies on that overlay.
