I'm not 100% that this will solve the problem, but it might address the only symptom I can see. For symbol NQU24-CME I get a black empty screen (no data available) and empty (56 byte) NQU24-CME.scid file in Data/ directory. But it seems like the simplest thing to try. Could we have an option to not try to compress the streamed down tick data files? Running: SierraChart version 2652 (latest as of this writing). Mac OSX Sonoma 14.5 (latest) Codeweavers CrossOver version 24.0.4, installed into 64-bit Windows 7 bottle. (latest) SierraChart message log shows: 2024-07-04 00:42:08.736 | File compression not supported on file system. C:\SierraChart2652\Data\US30.scid. Windows error code 50: Request not supported. size of files in Data/ can be seen from this console screen scrape: me@mac:~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/win7_64bit/drive_c/SierraChart2652/Data $ls -alFtr\

But the ES and NQ files are empty (56 byte header only). |

Although: an option to not use file compression could still be useful to eliminate the spam in the message log. There are alot of these complaints. Two in the example below: 2024-07-04 01:36:40.450 | File compression not supported on file system. C:\SierraChart2652\Data\NQU24-CME.scid. Windows error code 50: Request not supported. 2024-07-04 01:36:40.464 | NQU24-CME[M] 1 Min #1 | Reloading chart. 2024-07-04 01:36:40.469 | File compression not supported on file system. C:\SierraChart2652\Data\NQU24-CME.scid. Windows error code 50: Request not supported. | Number times message added: 2 2024-07-04 01:36:40.918 | NQU24-CME[M] 1 Min #1 | Chart data loading complete. |

Under Advanced Service Settings -> File Compression. Set Support Intraday and Market Depth Files Compression and Disable Intraday and Market Depth File Compression if Enabled on the File to No. This eliminated those error messages under Linux/Wine. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-07-04 01:58:25
