I'm not 100% that this will solve the problem, but it might address the only symptom I can see.

For symbol NQU24-CME I get a black empty screen (no data available) and empty (56 byte) NQU24-CME.scid file in Data/ directory. But it seems like the simplest thing to try.

Could we have an option to not try to compress the streamed down tick data files?

Running:
SierraChart version 2652 (latest as of this writing).
Mac OSX Sonoma 14.5 (latest)
Codeweavers CrossOver version 24.0.4, installed into 64-bit Windows 7 bottle. (latest)

SierraChart message log shows:

2024-07-04 00:42:08.736 | File compression not supported on file system. C:\SierraChart2652\Data\US30.scid. Windows error code 50: Request not supported.

size of files in Data/ can be seen from this console screen scrape:

me@mac:~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/win7_64bit/drive_c/SierraChart2652/Data $ls -alFtr\

So we can see that some .scid files are present, for example XAUUSD.scid are full size. But the ES and NQ files are empty (56 byte header only).
