Trades disappearing with Equities and IBKR

I've been trading with SC data feeds and IBKR futures with no issues. I am starting to trade equities and subscribed to the SC US Equities Consolidated Tape. Charts look good. When I place a trade initially it shows up in the chart, then after about 5 seconds it disappears from SC. I then have to go in to TWS to close the position. INFO: (ticker VVPR) The Trade Positions Window initially shows (2) items: VVPR VVPR-STK-SMART-USD Then, "VVPR" disappears from the Trade Positions Window and the position disappears from my chart. "VVPR-STK-SMART-USD" stays in the Positions Window until I close it from TWS. * I use the IB Gateway * Some IB logs are showing "No market data permissions for ISLAND STK" I've seen some of the SC tech support posts regarding this issue, but I think that may be when getting the data feed from IBKR and not when getting the data feed from SC. Would you know if I need the data subscriptions from IBKR when using the API ? Anything else I can look at? Thank you. |

Are you using a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol"? You should have this set to the full symbol that Interactive Brokers needs. For instance, from what you showed in your post, your main symbol would be "VVPR", which is what you need in order to get the data from our U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape. The "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" should then be set to "VVPR-STK-SMART-USD". And you also want to ensure that the option for "Use as Trade Only Symbol" is set to "Yes". I have not set those manually, no. Will try that. Is there no way to auto fill the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" with a variable that combines the ticker symbol with the "-STK-SMART-USD" ? |

To do what you want you need to edit the Symbol Settings and set the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". In this case, wildcard characters can be used. The stocks use the symbol settings that are ?, ??, ???, etc. Therefore you would edit these and enter a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" of the following for ???: ???-STK-SMART-USD Then when you open a chart or change the symbol, the Trade and Current Quote Symbol will update to the same symbol.
