There is nothing in the system that prevents you from trading any particular product. The best option is to make sure that any charts of the Mini contracts are not set to allow trading. There is nothing within Sierra Chart that can do this. But you should be able to be limited at the broker level. Check with your broker to see if they can limit the symbols that you have available for trading.

Thanks for that. To be more specific : would i be able to do this assuming I have NQ restricted from the broker : like have a chart with NQ contract loaded and in settings i would put MNQ as trade and quote symbol, so would the orders go through for MNQ ? |

In this situation the order is for MNQ and that is what is sent to the exchange. There is nothing related to NQ being sent through, so this would not be blocked. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

We do not have any specific recommendation between the brokers that support our Teton Order Routing Service. You are welcome to open another post asking the other users for their opinions. If you do, set the post as "User Discussion" - there is a pulldown menu to select this with a "Set" button to the left (select "User Discussion" then select the "Set" button).

Hi, I just got setup with TETON with Dorman I just got to know MIT non client side orders are not available with TETON, idk why. Can i expect it to be available anytime? Another thing, I am placing stop market orders but on the chart its showing as stop limit orders and the functioning is of stop market order. Why is it showing me stop limit on the chart ? Thanks |

We do not know if/when we would change this. Another thing, I am placing stop market orders but on the chart its showing as stop limit orders and the functioning is of stop market order.
Why is it showing me stop limit on the chart ? Refer to the following: Order Types: Stop Orders on the CME For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Refer to the following:
Order Types: Stop Orders on the CME I referred to this and then I tried to check the price2 in trade orders so It should still in most cases execute like a stop market order right ? |

Order Types: Stop Orders on the CME
In this section it’s written that it is a safety feature implemented by cme. So i tried placing a buy stop order and then i checked the price2 which was stop price +12 points i believe.. so as per the 12 points is like a safety net, in almost all-cases other than in extreme volatility it should still execute like a stop market order… am I right? |

We can not say anything further than it is a "Stop-Limit" and we define the Stop-Limit order here: Order Types: Stop-Limit We have set this as User Discussion, should you want to get opinions from other users. Now that ill have to use client side MIT orders, are you guys able to shorten the name for this order? my trade menus width has become much wider now. Atleast if "market if touched" be shortened to MIT just like how it is for the server side MIT order. It would be great |

It's really unacceptable to not have MIT server side order type. I just had bad slippage with MIT client side order :/ You guys have had TETON from so long. I am thinking to switch to CQG or Rithmic |

You will definitely not have that order type with CQG server-side. And we would not recommend Rithmic.

I know you guys dont recommend Rithmic, thats why i never even considered it as an option but not having MIT order is really unacceptable. I can visually see the delay with MIT client side order, the delay is understandable it being a client side order but server side MIT is very much needed. |

So now that I am using Teton, Today I had a power cut and so i tried the web based interface to trade from my mobile phone but its a lengthy process to log in and if I switch to some other app from the browser it would disconnect me and I would have to log back in. Before this when I was using IBKR, they obviously have an app where it is much much faster to log in and trade, etc. |
