Hello, Is it possible to have it so when I type NVDA for example on the chart, it takes me straight to NVDA_MBO by default? It's a bit exhausting to keep typing this suffix. Thanks :) |

This will work as long as you have never opened a chart for the symbol NVDA or NVDA-NQTV. Since you are getting a chart for NVDA, then that tells us that you had opened a chart for that symbol, as the intraday data file for it exists, hence it is being opened. If there is no other intraday file for NVDA other than NVDA_MBO.scid, then when you type in 'N-V-D-A-<Enter>' on the chart, then the system is going to open the data file for the next available data file in alphabetical order. And since "Nothing comes before something" alphabetically, NVDA_MBO is after NVDA and will open. Refer to the following for how to remove files for symbols you no longer want/need: Chart Data and Chart Data Files: Deleting a Chart Data File For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I see, perhaps some day there will be a feature considered to have it default to _MBO regardless :)

Just some feedback. I often get news from multiple squawk services and I trade those headlines and I need to switch tickers instantly. Anything extra I have to type or consider impacts my bottom line. Given the amount of tickers I trade as an active trader I do not know if I have a downloaded chart or not. So it'd be nice to have the option for /TICKER_NAME to default to /TICKER_NAME_MBO
