This will work as long as you have never opened a chart for the symbol NVDA or NVDA-NQTV. Since you are getting a chart for NVDA, then that tells us that you had opened a chart for that symbol, as the intraday data file for it exists, hence it is being opened.

If there is no other intraday file for NVDA other than NVDA_MBO.scid, then when you type in 'N-V-D-A-<Enter>' on the chart, then the system is going to open the data file for the next available data file in alphabetical order. And since "Nothing comes before something" alphabetically, NVDA_MBO is after NVDA and will open.
