Dear Support I have 8 charts all linked. There are 10 accounts listed.
Chart Trade (M) allows me to open >> Settings >> Order Allocation to Trade Accounts. Here is the issue. 1) I add "all available accounts (List)" to the "Allocation Accounts (List)
2) On some charts I can add all 10 accounts to the Allocation List, on others the first account does not appear? Re-applying does not solve it. It is still missing. In summary: On some charts after selecting the first account in the list - using Button [Add] - does not add that selected account. All other listed accounts can be added. Just not the first.
However, when I submit an order from a chart that only shows 9 accounts in the list (first is not there) all 10 accounts are copied correctly despite the first account not showing as selected in the allocation list. Definitely a small code error. Help appreciated. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-06-04 15:29:53

The current account that is selected in your Trade Window is not available to be added to the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts, as that is the account that you are actually trading directly and the orders are then copied from it.

Hi John, That's what I would have thought except 2 charts show all 10 accounts in both the "Available Accounts (List)" and the "Allocation Accounts (List)" with the last account number visible in both e.g.: - Available Accounts (List) shows 10 Accounts and - Allocation Accounts (List) shows all 10 Accounts. In the other 6 charts, 10 Accounts are visible in the "Available Accounts (List)" but I can only add: - 9 Accounts to the "Allocation Accounts (List)" as you suggest. - with the one not moved to the "Allocation Accounts (List)" remaining selected in the "Available Accounts (List)." So, for some reason: 1) I have an inconsistency in the lists presented across different charts in the same workbook. Some charts allow all accounts to be added and some all accounts -1 which is the last Account Number that appears in the list.
2) I cannot select the lead account number. I have to accept the last account in the list as the lead which may be as Engineering intended. The image shows all 10 accounts added to the "Allocation Accounts (List)" rather than 9 followers + 1 lead; which as you say should not occur. Many thanks. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-06-05 16:00:12

If you had originally setup Order Allocations with a certain account as the primary, so it was not able to be added (call it "Account1") and then changed the account listed on the Trade Window to "Account2", then you could add "Account1" to the list of Allocation Accounts. This would then give you both accounts showing in that list. This sounds like what has occurred in your case. Remove that account from the list of Allocation Accounts. Also, the account that is selected in the Trade Window will not be duplicated to itself (i.e. you will not end up with twice the orders for that account).

Thank you. Great Support as always. Yes, I had originally set-up 2 charts where Sim1 was included, hence all 10 Accounts were added to the "Allocation List" with the Sim1 as the leader left in "Accounts Available" as the lead. When I removed Sim1 from inclusion for live trading and copied the Chart/Duplicated it the 10 Accounts remained in the "Allocation List" with a further "duplicate Account Number" in the lead/Accounts Available list. It caused no issues with Trade Allocation, just threw me. Many thanks! |
