My P&L and activity feed are all out of wack. When I make a + trade it is lowering my P&L on my trade window and earlier today it was counting MES P&L as ES P&L. My activity shows 3 open positions"(not accurate)" and my P&L is changing with each tick yet I do not have any open positions. Please help me fix this quickly it is causing me concern. Thanks |

Thanks for the quick reply. So all day my P&L was very odd, and when I checked my trade activity, under statistics it showed 3 open trades, and in the chart stats tab it showed 3 open P&L(not accurate) but when I logged into my IB it showed no positions. But then after some searching here I turned on "use order fill calculated position" and all of a sudden my chart showed 3 open long positions. I then logged into IB and there were 3 open long positions. I don't understand how this could have happened - how is it possible my IB account had no positions and then all of a sudden there are positions when I turned on "use order fill calculated position". Thanks |

Also important to note that I kept hitting Flatten all day in multiple different chart/trade windows to make sure I was flat and it always said there were no positions to flatten, yet apparently I did have 3 open positions.

We can not say how this occurred. You need to look at your Trade Activity Log and see what it states in terms of when those orders were sent and why they were sent. The information is in the log, you just need to find it. Refer to the following: Trade Activity Log Analysis: Determining the Origin of a New/Modified Order The most likely situation is that when you selected Flatten, a set of orders is sent to close out the positions. This would create those orders in Interactive Brokers if there was not an actual offsetting position already open. OK I will review. But first, I just did a test trade. I turned off "Use Order Fill Calculated Position" as I have never used that before and don't see why I need it. I made a trade, it showed on my chart and in my trade positions window. Then all of a sudden the trade on the chart and in the window were gone. I checked the trade activity log and it showed the position "-1(not accurate)". I turned on "Use Order Fill Calculated Position" again, and the position showed up again. I just want to be clear about what is happening. I don't know if this is an IB issue or a Sierra issue, but I obviously just want to make sure I know what positions I hold and have the ability to close them - ALWAYS. p.s. I do not understand what this means, can you please clarify - "Another solution is to use the Order Fill Calculated Position. Although with this method you must be very diligent to make sure you have all of the order fills for the Symbol and Trade Account being traded." |

I have reached out to IB In detail. I would still like to understand this in the meantime. - "Another solution is to use the Order Fill Calculated Position.
