The Sub Instances are not updating to the most current quotes on the charts. I have been running TETON/AMP & RHITMIC . The main instance is working, charts are current & time & sales working. But, the 3 sub instances are not updating, the charts are not updating to the current quotes or time & sales not working either I have tried reloading the charts. I have translated symbols to the current service I have shut it all down and restarted. Main instance is set to: Use symbol settings in new instances when started NO Always copy configuration files to new instances when started set to NO and I tried it with it being set to YES. I think some setting got changed. Not sure if RITHMIC has a problem with multiple sub instances or not.... during the GLOBEX session...? I just switched it back to TETON/AMP and all sub instances seem to be accurate and working. Any ideas on what to check? Will you need the message logs for a sub instance? Hello John, I think all sub instances are loading to the current data. Not sure of what triggers the stalling. It may be the back and forth of updating the symbols to current service... probably rithmic. I did successfully get Sierra to load a second installation and connect that to Rithmic while connecting the first install to AMP. So , both installs running 2 different accounts at the same time and seems to be working perfectly doing trades. Another thing that happens is the spinning wheel , when I change the tick size on a numbers bars chart. On the NQ from NON AUTO SET FOR EXAMPLE TICK SIZE 1 and then back to Auto Set From Data Feed.... it does not like this , sometimes the wheel keeps spinning , Windows task manager reads Sierra Charts not responding... Sometimes I just stop it and then restart sierra charts. Non of this is urgent... Thank Everybody at Sierra Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-05-08 17:55:28

Sometimes I just stop it and then restart sierra charts. There can be a lot of calculations that need to occur when you change the tick size, so it could simply be a matter of waiting for everything to catch up. We really recommend changing the "Volume at Price Multiplier" rather than Tick Size, if you are wanting to aggregate the Numbers Bars data into larger bins. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Volume at Price Multiplier for Historical/Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume at Price menu) Try changing this and see if you have the same issue.
