How to verify as a non professional?

I've been paying $46 for Service Package 11 and using Topstep to trade an evaluation.

I usually get all the data I need but sometimes the DOM stops showing limit orders as it did this week.

I was told I need fund my broker and connect to the service once a month from SC, as well as pay for CME data for about $13 a month also.

I just funded my brokerage, and when doing a trade set up request for CQG (getting ready to log in once a month), which is what I had in the past, there are options to get Market data and depth for a fee.

I asked which option I should choose considering that I just need to connect once a month with the most basic option to verify as a non professional. And I stated I didn't want to pay them for any additional data.

I was told I needed to select the data I would need.

When I stated I get my data from Sierra Chart, and if I can just pay SC for data, I was told no. I need to pay SC for data separately.

Since my goal here is to just connect to my broker once a month to verify non pro status, do I really need to pay them monthly for data as well?

Do I need to pay my broker and SC for data to verify as a non pro trader?

You definitely do NOT need to pay for the data from CQG. Since you are with AMP, they will be able to do this for you, but it looks like you may need to get to the proper help desk person to make this happen.

Some brokers are difficult to work with to get them to not have the CQG data. AMP is generally good about this. So you will be able to get them to not charge you for the data.

Just talk to AMP and convince them that you do not need the data from CQG as you are getting it from us.

Is it normal that when I signed in with my CQG credentials (after doing a live trade set up request and not paying for any additional data), that I got errors? In the photo attached. And when I switched back to log in to Rithmic Direct - DTC Trading, to see if the dom can show limit orders again, the dom was still blank?

Update: currently updating to see if it works.

Just updated SC and limits still empty? Any idea of how to fix this? I thought funding the brokerage, and logging in with their credentials would do the trick? Are these the right credentials?

I'm not sure why it says MT5?

You do not have any exchanges active with us, therefore you are not getting the data from us. We do see that your "Verified Until" date is now set to "2024-05-12" so you made a good connection with CQG.

We see that you had previously used data for the CME Group from us, so you just need to activate the exchange(s) for which you want the real-time data from us. Keep in mind that you will need to activate the exchange(s) that include Market Depth to get the limit orders on the price ladder. You can activate the exchange(s) at the following link:

Okay sweet. Thank you. I will sign up for the proper data later today. Monday at the latest. I mainly trade Crude Oil. Can I keep paying for SP11 and use option 4 in the link you provided? "CME with Market Depth for non-professional Trading accounts"? Or do I need to get CME with Nymex market depth? What is the most affordable option for now?

I greatly appreciate your help. This was stressful until your answers.

Since you need Crude Oil you would need the "NYMEX with Market Depth for Non-Professional Accounts". Just activating this one is the cheapest option.

Last few questions: (Thank you). Option 18? Nice. Would I still get full data for ES if I went with this option in addition to SP11? Or what would be the most affordable option to include ES in this deal?

The most affordable option is to also activate the "CME Non-Professional Top-of-Book" for $2.00. But this does not include Market Depth.

If you need the Market Depth for the CME exchange then you would need to activate the "CME with Market Depth for Non-Professional Trading Accounts" for $12.50 (same price as the NYMEX option).

I just activated option 4 CME with market depth for non professionals and 18 NYMEX with market depth for non professionals. I don't see them in the list of recurring services. Was that page removed? I am about to sign in when the market opens in 22 minutes to see if it worked. Otherwise I will ask for help in trouble shooting what need be done from this point to show limit orders. I am also curious if this service I am paying for will work when I switch to Apex trader funding in a week. Thanks for your help.

When I tried the CQG log in, it worked showing limit orders, but not with the Rithmic log in. Maybe I have an unsigned agreement?

So you can at least access market data, follow the instructions below for now.

To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions.


Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services".

Press "OK"

And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service)

You can then use the data provided by Sierra Chart independent of your trading service.

But don't I need the data from my trading service to do my evaluation? Dont I need to be logged into Rithmic Direct DTC - Trading to do the evaluation? Can you check on yur end please if I have correctly signed the NYMEX and CME agreements?
