Hi folks, I have an overbought alert for a Standard deviation study on Chart 1 that I overlay on Chart 2 and it prints on the chart as a dot above the price graph. However, when I send the Chart 2 study to the spreadsheet, it won't list the Alert (Subgraph 1). It will list subgraph 2 and 3, but not subgraph 1. Ideally, I would like it to list as a 1 or 0. If someone can assist, I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance, Eliza |

Exactly what studies are you using for this? What is the study on Chart 1 that you are overlaying to Chart 2 and are you using the "Study/Price Overlay" to do the overlay or something else?

I am using a Standard Deviation Bands on Chart 1 which I have paired with a Color Bar Study to paint a dot above the price graph (Chart 1). I've then Study Overlayed this Color Bar onto Chart 2. The overlay works perfectly and paints a dot above the price graph. However, the Spreadsheet related to this study only lists subgraph 2 and subgraph3, not Subgraph1 which is the one that presents the YES/NO condition to paint the bar. Hope this makes things cleareer. Eliza |

In the Study/Price Overlay study, select the "Subgraphs" tab and then select the first subgraph (which should be "Color Bar" from what we understand). Make sure the option towards the bottom for "Include in Spreadsheet" has a checkmark next to it.

SO, the advice did populate the Spreadsheet, and I've referenced that column in a formula. The cells calculate accurately, BUT when I add the Spreadsheet Study to the chart (with that column selected) nothing occurs. Any ideas would be MOST welcome Eliza |

We need more information on what is occurring. We really do not understand what you mean by "when I add the Spreadsheet Study to the chart (with that column selected) nothing occurs." Selecting a column does not do anything in particular. What are you wanting to have happen?

To recap, I followed your instructions and the column appeared in the Spreadsheet. I then used that data to create data in another column. I have added that final data' column to a spreadsheet study and added it to the Chart - with the relevant subgraph selected. So, I have the correct Spreadsheet Chart selected. I have the correct column selected. The data is within the chart range. It is set to display on Chart 1. End result is I don't know what I've missed. If you don't understand, I'll just leave it. Thanks, Eliza |

What column contains the data in the spreadsheet? Keep in mind only columns K, L, M, and N are set to display by default, so if you are using a different formula column, you would have to set the subgraph information appropriately. What Region are you having this displayed in? You do state that "The data is within the chart range", but please double check this. Make sure the values of the spreadsheet are such that they will display properly in the selected region. You may want to put the Spreadsheet Study in a separate region to start with to ensure that this is not a scaling issue. Then if you are able to view the data properly in a separate region, then you can move it to Region 1.
