Changing Linked Brokerage Account

I am a new Sierra Chart user and have successfully linked my Interactive Brokers live funding account. However, I recently opened my account with another broker (Optimus Futures). Consequently, I would like to remove my Interactive Brokers account from the Sierra Chart system and connect my newly opened account with Optimus Futures.

Could someone please guide me on how to accomplish this?

Additionally, my Denali data access is currently tied to my Interactive Brokers account, which I intend to permanently delete from the Sierra system. Are there any additional steps I need to take to link my market data access to a different account?

What order routing service are you using with Optimus Futures? We can then point you to the proper instructions.

Note that since you have been using our Denali Exchange Data Feed, all you need to do is change your setup to connect to your Optimus account. Once you do that, you are done and ready to keep trading.

There is nothing you need to do with regards to the Denali Exchange Data Feed. As long as you have a valid account you can connect to to verify your "non-professional" status, you are fine.

Once they have your account setup, follow the instructions at the following link starting with Step #6:

As we noted previously, there is nothing else you need to do in terms of moving from Interactive Brokers. You will still be able to see your previous trades with them, but if you want to remove those, you can do so by following these instructions:

May I inquire whether performing this action will also unlink my Interactive Brokers Account from Sierra Chart?

When I designate "Interactive Brokers (trading)" as my Current Selected Service, my intention is to avoid connecting to my previous account. I want to ensure there is no risk of holding any positions in that account under any circumstances.

You can only have 1 connected account to an installation of Sierra Chart. So once you change that Service in the Data/Trade Service Settings, you will no longer be connected to Interactive Brokers in that installation. We doubt you have more than one installation, but we are being pedantic for others that may read this to help them.

If you do not want to wait for Optimus Futures to get your account setup, you can change the "Current Selected Service" to "SC Data - All Services" now. This will disconnect you from your Interactive Brokers account. You will not be connected to any trading account at that time, but you can use the system in Simulation Mode.

Just be sure to select "Yes" to the option to update your symbols when changing services, as every service uses a different symbology - including our SC Data - All Services.
