I frequently get a pop-up with a connection error message about a Secondary instance not allowing a connection to the server (Service log below). I am only running a single instance of Sierra Chart and only on one computer. What is causing this? You can safely ignore this message. If you frequently encounter this it indicates you have a connectivity problem to the primary server. Meaning it is likely on my side (home internet) or is it the Teton side?

If you are running multiple instances of Sierra Chart on the same computer, then that would be why you are seeing 2 connections. But again, it is not a problem, as you are allowed 3 connections from one computer.

That is what I thought. But the odd thing is that I get this message even when running only one instance on the same computer. So it sounds like it could be caused by any of three things: poor internet connection on my side, a problem with the Teton server, or the software detecting multiple connections. If the software is mistakenly detecting multiple connections, is there anything I can do to troubleshoot that? |

You are not having any issues, if you end up with not being able to make a connection then that is when we would need to figure out what is occurring. I can not say for certain, but I think this is related to how our systems update information to our servers, so you may see an additional connection from your other instance showing for awhile even after it has been closed.
