Hi support

Maybe I am missing something but I am trying to get a color bar alert condition signal from 1 minute chart overlay to 3 minutes chart.

This should work since this 1 minute signal is inside the 3 minutes candle in terms of time

Regards

This is not going to work as you are thinking. In the Study/Price Overlay is an Input for "Data Copy Mode" This defines whether the system "Use Earliest Value from Corresponding Time Frame in Source Chart" or "Use Latest Value from Corresponding Time Frame in Source Chart". As such, the way this is set will determine whether the earliest 1 minute bar will be applied to the 3 minute chart or the latest 1 minute bar will be applied to the 3 minute chart.

For example, if you select "use Earliest Value from Corresponding Time Frame in Source Chart" then when looking at the 3 minute chart at a time of 09:03:00, the 1 minute bar that was overlaid is the bar that started at 09:03:00. Whereas if you used the Latest bar, it would be the 09:05:00 bar from the 1 minute chart, as this is the latest bar that is contained within the 09:03:00 bar as it spans to 09:05:59.

If the particular bar that is being overlaid has a true value for the Color Bar, then the coloring will be visible in the destination chart. Otherwise, you will not see any coloring.

Thanks John , Okay now I see what you mean

Then there is no other way to get the view of all the signals in corresponding destination 3 minutes candle ?

No, there is no way to get the view of all the signals within the corresponding timeframe. You have to choose either the first or the last.

But doesn't make sense to implement this feature ? Based on milisecond when source bar close , HigherTimeframe actual bar gets colored for example ? I mean not getting the signal is worse scenario

What you state is how it works if you select "Use Latest Value from Corresponding Timeframe". The latest value of the 1 minute bar is overlaid to the 3 minute bar.

If you want information down to the latest millisecond, then you would have to have a source chart that in 1 milliseconds.

Whatever the timeframe of the source chart is, is how the data is overlaid. There is no intra-bar information used. And no intra-bar information exists for the studies on the chart, such as the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition".
