I have several alerts on a few different charts....is there a way to disable the Alert Manager pop-up window for ALL alerts? If not, how do I determine what alert # each alert is assigned so I can disable each one in Global Settings?

Refer to the following: General Settings Window: Show Alerts Log On Study Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

OK I see where to change that setting, but it looks like a setting for each individual alert? Where do I find the alert number assigned for each alert I have set-up? For example, I have several different Color Based On Alert Condition studies but don't see an Alert # for each....where can I find that?

That particular setting is NOT per alert number. It is a global setting that will apply to all alerts. Just for information, the Alert Number that is used can be found on the Alerts tab under the "Alert Sound" setting. Refer to the following: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Selecting a Sound for the Alert and Email Notifications For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I checked my global alert settings and it looks like they're set to disable the pop-up window, but I'm still getting multiple pop-ups? Can you look at these settings and let me know what I'm doing wrong?

This is the standard Alert Manager window so to prevent that from automatically opening you just need to set this to No: General Settings Window: Show Alerts Log On Study Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings) What exactly do you mean by this: ..is there a way to disable the Alert Manager pop-up window for ALL alerts?
We do not precisely know what is meant by "disable".

I'm just trying to disable the Alert Manager window from popping up every time a Color Bar Based on Alert Condition is met. I do have what you mention set to "NO" in Global Settings (see attached image).

I have the same issue, and I've followed the same steps, to no avail. This is a very annoying situation. I think it happened about the same time that SC disabled sending message alerts.

There is only the one setting to set the Alert Manager to not open with an Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Show Alerts Log on Study Alerts). We are not able to reproduce any issue with this setting. When it is set to "No", we do not get the Alert Manager and when it is set to "Yes", we do. The one other item we want you to check is the setting for "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Add Alert to Compact Alert Pop-up Window". Make sure this is set to "No" for the particular alert number you are using. The Pop-Up window is different from the Alerts Manager. On the Alerts tab, the only item that is set to "Yes" is "Wait for Prior Alert Sound to Finish before Playing Next Queued Sound". I'm stumped. |

Ed C > I gave up on this so just minimized the window and have it at the top of my screen in a space on menu area that I’m not using. You may need to do the same?

I tried that, but it will still restore sometimes. I suspected that it had something to do with SC's shutting down their text messaging service - I think I've fixed it by going into Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts and setting "Send E-Mail when this Alert is Triggered (for Alert XXX)" to "No". Since there are 200 possible alerts, this took a minute. Since Sierra has shut down their text messaging service, it would've been great if they would've provided a way to set all of these to "No" at once, instead of making people go through every single alert. |
