Hello, I connect to my broker via Teton. I had an odd situation happen just earlier. I was in a long ES trade with an auto attached Stop Loss and a manually entered Target (Limit Sell). The position was stopped out and usually the target is also cleared from the trade because I have "Support Scale Out" activated. However, this time the Target (Limit Sell) was not automatically cleared and when I went to manually close it on the chart, it would not cancel nor modify. I was also unsuccessful in cancelling via the Trade Orders window. The order was not showing up on the Broker side when I called them and they could not see what the issue was from their end and suggested I contact Sierrachart Support. Eventually, I did managed to clear the Target order afterwards by purposely entering another live trade. After I entered the trade, I was able to modify the Target order that was hanging there initially and when I used that order to exit the trade everything was flattened from my position window. The concerning issue is that the order was initially hanging there and I could not cancel nor modify it without purposefully going into a trade to get it cleared. Any idea what the issue is and how to prevent this from happening again? Also, my understanding is that the orders should all go to the broker side, but they did not see it. What would cause the order to appear only on my screen but not the broker side? Thanks for your help! |

This does not make sense and we do not see how entering another order or position would allow the cancellation of this order. There is no technical reason for this: The concerning issue is that the order was initially hanging there and I could not cancel nor modify it without purposefully going into a trade to get it cleared.
