I have tried multiple ways to set up a chart starting at the US session time 14H, but that particular chart keeps freezing and not functioning well. All my other charts starting at the EU session ( 8am Brussels time are working well).

There is no reason why a chart with different session times would behave poorly. Are you changing anything other than the Session Times and the Time Zone for the chart?

My entire charting system is on Brussels time. All my charts start at 9am Brussels time. I wanted one chart to have a starting time of 14h Brussels time (coinciding with New York open). This one chart that starts at 14h Brussels doesn’t work. Everything on that chart is lagging. I have to close that chart completely and not recreate it otherwise it freezes my whole system. It is very odd. I have used Sierra for years (you are the best around) and never had that happen. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

Are there any studies on that chart? Are you duplicating another chart to create the new chart, or are you creating it "from scratch" through the "Find Symbol" page or "File >> New/Open Intraday Chart"? And are you having any issues prior to changing the Session Times? If you can please start a new chart by selecting "File >> Find Symbol", then entering the symbol and selecting the button for "Open Intraday Chart", then let us know if this opens without any issue. Then change the session times (and only the session times) and let us know if you then have an issue. Hi John. I followed your instructions. I did find symbol then opened the intraday chart. So far so good. Should I start adding studies now? Ps I was duplicating a current to chart to create the problematic one. |

Yes, please add studies and move forward. There is no reason why duplicating the chart should have created an issue. You may want to look into the original chart and make sure everything is OK with it, in particular check for any possibilities of a Circular Reference, where it is trying to pull data from another chart which is also trying to get data from that chart, so one depends on the other, but then neither can properly update.

You nailed it! That is exactly what happened! I created a brand new chart just as you suggested and everything is running perfectly with all my indicators and studies. Worked like a charm, thanks for your help.
