Hi, Regularly I see fake/artificial price wicks on my charts (recently for AAPL, AMZN, MSFT as an example). For the most part I just do a chart reload or a delete and download data to refresh the information and that gets rid of the fake wicks. Currently, I have fake price wicks on AAPL, MSFT and AMZN from yesterday that does not correspond to the prices on IBKR. Please advise. J Edit: Here are some screenshots after reloading and re-downloading the data. https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1697041531996.png https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1697041553668.png Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-10-11 16:27:20

We checked our data and we see the same issue, therefore we checked a chart on Yahoo.com and they show the same thing. So there is nothing wrong with the data, it is correct.

The first thing you must do is update to the current version of Sierra Chart. This is mandatory to resolve this. Instructions: Software Download: Fast Update And then you need to make sure this option is disabled: Data/Trade Service Settings: Process Known Odd Lot Equity Trades for DTC Services (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Other Settings) After that fully re-download the data: Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. The other thing is that you will see those values, when you are looking at the pre or post-market data. Those are actual trades. They are accurate. If you want to remove those out of range values you need to set the session times to the regular trading hours. And not include pre-or post-market hours. Not even a second. Thanks for looking into this so quickly, team @John and @SC_Engineering. Maybe there's not much you can do on your end. AAPL in IBKR gets data from SMART and Tradingview gets data from NASDAQ if I am not mistaken and both of these data providers do not show the same wick as SC / Yahoo. Barcharts shows the same disagreement with SC data. This volatility also does not make too much sense from the market perspective for a blue chip stock. https://www.barchart.com/stocks/quotes/AAPL/interactive-chart https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=NASDAQ%3AAAPL |

As noted in Post 4 above, this is from the Extended (Evening) hours. If you add the Extended Hours to the Barchart chart, you will see the same thing - as we just did this.

thats my fault thank you John. edit: Seems like Barchart is in agreement with SC, but IBKR and Trading view are showing different data... very weird. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-10-11 20:41:55

Is this a Daily Historical chart or an Intraday chart set to a 1 day period?

Hi John, these are historical daily charts. The MSFT error now is gone (they come and go. again not sure why that's the case) but the AAPL wick is still there. I have the AAPL intraday 1hr chart open and the High of day in the intraday chart is ~182.
