Over the past few weeks, I have frequently been warned that a secondary instance was trying to log in (but rejected). I have just changed my account password and hopefully this will not happen again. However, are there any documentation on how passwords are encrypted, transmitted and stored on the SC servers? I assume that passwords are never transmitted in plain text. I just want a better understanding of the communication protocol between the SC server and my computer, and hopefully identify potential hackers' attack points. |

We know what message you are referring to and it just means that Sierra Chart has connected to a secondary instance for the trading evaluator service: I have frequently been warned that a secondary instance was trying to log in (but rejected).
This is not a security issue and can happen sometimes. Sierra Chart will then connect back to the main server. You can safely ignore this.
